Peter Marshall is Kate’s brawd (brother) and they are very close. Peter used to share a flat in Bae Caerdydd (Cardiff Bay) with his ffrind gorau (best friend), Emyr. Peter has also become close to Ceri. When Kate’s gŵr (husband) Danny died accidentally during an argument, Peter tried to help her by burying Danny’s body. He then became depressed and tried to lladd ei hun (kill himself).
Kate Ford
is Peter’s chwaer (sister). She has a merch (daughter) called Ela. Following her husband’s death, she has moved into a new home with her cariad (boyfriend), Osian.
Emyr Tomos is a dyn hoyw (gay man) who now lives with Jamie. He is an athro Cymraeg (Welsh teacher) and is a close friend to Sara, an athrawes celf (art teacher) at his ysgol (school). Emyr and Peter used to be close but Peter’s attempted suicide has badly affected Emyr.
Ceri Price
is a successful business woman. She left Cardiff to work in London but has recently returned to Cardiff. She was in love with Peter.
Osian James works in a casino and lives with Kate. He is close to Lea and was not happy when Lea fell in love with his tad (father), Stephen who has left his mam (mother). Osian has financial problems.
Lea Kennedy lives with Stephen and is expecting his babi (baby). She used to work at the Cynulliad (Assembly) but lost her job when Natasha sold pictures of her snorting coke at the Assembly to a papur newydd (newspaper).
Stephen James is Osian’s tad (father) and Lea’s cariad (boyfriend). Stephen has a mab (son) from a relationship with another woman. Osian knows about the boy – Rhodri – but Lea does not.
Natasha Jenkins is a young woman who uses others to make a name and money for herself. She is close to Jamie and Kate but Emyr and Osian dislike her because of what she did to Lea.
Jamie Roberts is a dyn ifanc hoyw (young gay man) who used to live on the streets before Emyr gave him a cartref (home). He works in a siop ddillad (clothes store) and is a close ffrind (friend) to Natasha.
Sara Harries is an athrawes gelf (art teacher) and is a ffrind agos (close friend) to Emyr. She is an arlunydd llwyddiannus (successful artist) and is separated from her gŵr (husband).
Mike Powell is a darlithydd llwyddiannus (successful lecturer) who left his wife for a student. He and Osian are ffrindiau da (good friends).
