This week Aled and Alex travel around Mid Wales. They go to a racing car track, enjoy the views on the train, go sailing in Aberdovey and relax on the banks of Lake Vyrnwy.
Aled goes to Carno rally track. Mid Wales is very famous for rally courses and tracks and many competitions come here every year.
You can go on a morning or day course here. Aled learns with David Higgins, who has won many championships over the world. After the lesson, he goes out in the car on the track.
Aled stays in a bed and breakfast called The Old Vicarage, which is in the village of Dolfor near Newtown. The place is of a very high standard and Aled enjoys a lovely meal here.
The Cambrian Coast train travels from Aberystwyth to Pwllheli. Aled and Alex catch the train in Barmouth and enjoy the amazing views. From Tywyn you can go to see Cader Idris and Castell y Bere.
They both go to the town of Aberdovey and have a sailing lesson. There has been a sailing club here since 1949 and it has over 300 members today. They both go out on the sea to sail a boat.
Aled and Alex stay in the Lake Vyrnwy hotel. There are tennis courts and a spa here and you can go out to shoot.
Aled and Alex go for a walk around Lake Vyrnwy. It’s a journey of 11 miles and you can drive, cycle or walk. There are three bird hides on the journey. They speak with Janet Evans who works with the RSPB.
On the journey they go to see Pistyll Rhaeadr.
After a busy day, they both go back to the hotel to relax and enjoy the spa.
