FAQ's

1. I can't find a particular programme to watch online. Why isn't it there?

   Due to copyright restrictions not all of our programmes are availible online at present, however there is a selection of some of our most popular programmes availible on our Clic service. If you are experiencing technical problems with trying to watch content on Clic, please contact S4C's Viewers' Hotline.

2. I can't view a particular programme online. Why not?

   At present worldwide copyright issues prevent us from enabling all the contents outside the UK. We hope to resolve these issues soon and also hope to be able to broadcast even more programmes online.

3. Is S4C Digital available on Freeview in the rest of the UK?

   To receive S4C digital outside Wales you can watch it via satellite or online. You do not have to subscribe to SKY packages to receive the channel on Sky 134. You can also receive S4C on Freesat, Channel 120. You can watch most S4C programmes for up to 35 days after broadcast on www.s4c.co.uk/clic.

4. How do I find out if there are DVD's available of some programmes?

   Please contact S4C's Viewers' Hotline.

5. Can I subscribe to marketing material from S4C such as Sgrîn, programme information etc?

   Please contact S4C's Viewers' Hotline.

6. I have an event or a news story that may be of interest to S4C. How do I get coverage on S4C?

   S4C do not produce programmes in-house. Please contact the BBC for the main news programme shown on S4C on 08700 100 222. Wedi 3 programme on S4C cover local stories which is produced by Tinopolis. 7. Is it possible to have a copy of a programme or film shown on S4C?

   S4C do not supply copies for members of the public unless there is proof that they are for educational reasons. If you have proof, you should contact S4C Viewers' Hotline in the first instance.

8. Why is there not English commentary on all rugby games shown on S4C?

   S4C is keen to take full advantage of new technologies which will allow us to offer enhanced 'red button' services on some programmes on S4C Digidol. However, there are contractual issues which need to be addressed before we can proceed with dual language tracks on certain programmes, including sport. S4C acquires the right to broadcast these events in the Welsh language only, with the English language rights often being granted to another broadcaster. So, for example, S4C shares the broadcast rights to Welsh rugby with the BBC and Sky has the right to broadcast most football matches played in Wales in English.
