Step-by-step guide to Welsh Subtitles (889)
1.Check that the programme you want to watch carries subtitles.
2.Decide which system provides your TV services:
- Analogue (via an aerial)
- Digital Satellite (SKY via dish)
- Digital Terrestrial (Freeview, also via an aerial)
- Digital Cable (service not available at present)
and follow the step-by-step guidelines.
Analogue
- Switch your TV set to S4C
- Press the text button on the handset
- Press 889
- The Subtitles will now appear automatically
When the programme is over, press text again to cancel Subtitles.
Digital Satellite (SKY)
- Press the red button
- Select subtitles
- Choose the subtitling language
- Press select
Digital Terrestrial (Freeview)
