You will require a media player capable of playing windows media 9 files, such as Windows Media Player. Other players are available but these aren't guaranteed to support subtitles (sami) files.
You can download Windows Media Player for free here. If you are a Macintosh user, Microsoft provides Windows Media Player up to version 9 only. Further information can be found here if you experience any problems.
The S4C service is available to view live on the web as the programme is transmitted on television. Most programmes will be shown live with breaks where commercials are normally shown. These programmes are also available on–demand.
Not all programmes will be available to view on the web due to rights issues, but we will endeavour to include as many S4C programmes as possible in the 'Watch live' service.
In the Windows Media screen, move the mouse to the toolbar which has the options , File, View, Play, Tools, Help. Right click on Play, and then click Captions and Subtitles and then the English or Welsh options (when available).

At present worldwide copyright issues prevent us from enabling all the contents outside the UK. Our hope is to expand this service in the future.
