CF99

CF99 is the National Assembly's unique post code and S4C's new political programme CF99 is broadcast live from the iconic building. Bethan Rhys Roberts and Vaughan Roderick will be presenting a lively view and debate on the week's hot topics.

As someone who has worked on television and radio, in Welsh and in English, Bethan's looking forward to working on the programme. As a journalist Bethan's work has taken her to Paris, Hong Kong, Sudan, China and London. Now she has a new home amongst the politicians.

"At the moment I work on Good Morning Wales on BBC Radio Wales and I've missed working on television and in Welsh. When I received the call to work on the BBC Wales production of CF99 I was delighted as it's the perfect combination for me."

Bethan also has a firm political background. She worked at the Houses of Parliament as BBC Wales's political correspondent and then BBC World's correspondent for nine years.

Vaughan is a familiar face and voice in the political world. He's the presenter of Dau o'r Bae which will be back on air soon on BBC Radio Cymru and his political blog on bbc.co.uk/cymru receives up to 3,000 hits a day. There'll be a chance to catch up on his weekly podcast on bbc.co.uk/radiocymru where he'll be airing his views on events in the Senedd and the Houses of Parliament.

Bethan and Vaughan will be offering a fresh and contemporary view of politics in Wales and inviting guests to join them live on CF99 every Wednesday evening to discuss the week's events.

"Welsh politics will be the focal point of course but we will also be keeping an eye on the political climate in the Houses of Parliament, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Europe. This will be a contemporary programme offering the audience a very different take on politics."
