A new series of O'r Galon documentaries starts with a personal and very emotional journey undertaken by actress and presenter Ffion Dafis.
Ten years ago, Ffion's mother died of breast cancer. Four years later Ffion discovered a lump in her own breast. Fortunately, Ffion's lump was not malignant but the fear has remained with her - that she could inherit the same cancer as her mother.
She explains, "A special test is now available to look for the rogue gene which is inherited. It's a test that has many implications, and the physical and psychological effects are enormous."
During the programme Ffion asks the advice of family and friends, and also meets two brave sisters from Gwynedd, Gweno Williams from Pontllyfni and Eirian Rees from Bethesda Bach.
