Aled

• Name: Aled Huw Roberts

Aled is from Plas Du, Llanrhaeadr ym Mochnant, where he still farms. He is also a Farm Manager at Onnen Fawr Farm, Rhos near Wrexham where he has worked for the past 14 years. He lives with his wife Emily in Bron Wylfa outside Wrexham.

After leaving school, 31-year-old Aled attended Llysfasi Agricultural College with his eyes set on a career in farming. He believes in putting 100% in all that he does, and his ambition is to become a successful farmer.

"I like to work hard and play hard", says Aled.

"I've no time for wasters - I believe that if you're prepared to put the effort in and work hard, you'll reap the rewards", he added.

For many years, Aled has been a member of the Cobra rugby team, based in Meifod, and stood down as their captain in 2010. A former chairman of Dyffryn Tanat YFC, he still helps out with the club, especially with the Tug of War team.

"I get along with everyone, but if anybody crosses me, there will be trouble", he warns.
