Dafydd
- Name: Dafydd Evans
At 27, Dafydd is the youngest of three brothers from Hendreseifion, Llanwrin near Machynlleth. He has a keen interest in farming but has also built up his own engineering business, 'Evans Trailers'. Dafydd first turned his hand to welding and fabrication a few years ago, and now produces agricultural buildings and trailers and also does some seasonal contracting. His ambition is to own a farm of his own one day.
Dafydd is an active member of Bro Ddyfi YFC and is no stranger to the stage, having often had to dress up in a variety of costumes to keep the audience entertained.
Last year he took a tour of the USA, and during his stay he ran the New York marathon in aid of charity before fulfilling his life-long dream of visiting the country music capital of Nashville.
"As a big fan of Johny Cash it was an amazing experience to make it down to Nashville," says Dafydd.
"Running the marathon wasn't quite as enjoyable, but I've got a sneaking feeling that even that will be easier than making it to the end of Fferm Ffactor," he added.
