Dairy Farmer Geraint Thomas just can't resist a challenge! The 36 year old avid Scarlets fan decided to apply for Fferm Ffactor after following the first two series.
"Something inside me just made me go for it," says Geraint.
"I'm really competitive, and I like to have a go. I don't believe you should take things too seriously, but having said that, I can buckle down when push comes to shove," he added.
Farming was all Geraint ever wanted to do from a young age. His mother had to persuade him to come off the tractor and in to the house to revise before his exams at Ysgol Gyfun y Strade.
"I didn't take much of an interest in studying at school, but I might have to revise before facing Prof Wynne's farming questions on Fferm Ffactor," he says.
Geraint, is married to Sheryl and they have a two year old son, Gethin. They farm with Geraint's parents at Tyreglwys dairy farm, Llangennech near Llanelli.
"Fferm Ffactor has shown the viewers the variety of skills needed to be a good farmer today - I just hope I can make a good impression," he added.
