Teifi farms beef and sheep on his late grandfather's farm at Beulah, Newcastle Emlyn. He buys around 150 store cattle every year and in his spare time he enjoys welding and regularly competes in ploughing matches all over Wales.

"I'm very competitive, and I'd really like to go on to win the Isuzu," says Teifi. "I think there'll be stiff competition ahead, and after seeing the first series, I expect the standard to be high. I really don't know what to expect, but if I get a ploughing task I'll be quite happy."

Who would your ideal dinner guest/s be?

"Gareth Edwards, because I'm a huge rugby fan and have been brought up watching and playing the game."
