Emyr Penlan

Presenter, Ralïo and musician

On a scale of 1-10, how green do you think you are?

5

What's your greenest habit?

Recycling waste, driving a diesel car, buying and eating local produce whenever possible.

Do you know what your carbon footprint is and does it worry you?

No, I don't know what it is and yes, I worry because I fly so much

How much do you recycle?

Glass, metal and plastic bottles.

How much do you re-use?

All the childrens' clothes, and once we've finished with them, they go to a charity shop.

What kind of lightbulbs do you have at home?

Energy-saving ones all through the house.

Do you compost?

No, but the dog eats all the food waste.

What was the last green thing you did?

I'm presently building a green, wood frame house, well-insulated with central heating under the floors.

Do you think we can all make a difference?

Yes, but Britain is small – we need to tell the whole world.

If the big floods came, what would you save – apart from your family?

Family heirlooms – photographs, old videotapes and a film of my parents' wedding.
