On a scale of 1-10, how green do you think you are?
Somewhere between 7 and 8.
What's your greenest habit?
Recycling most of the kitchen waste.
Do you know what your carbon footprint is and does it worry you?
No idea, but with a trip to South Africa for the rugby in June, and annual trips to Dubai and Hong Kong, it's bigger than most. I try to cut down on car journeys by taking public transport when it's a viable option.
How much do you recycle?
Newspapers, bottles, plastic, kitchen and garden waste.
How much do you re-use?
A fair amount – plastic bottles, and takeaway containers. I'm also a member of Carmarthenshire Freecycle and have got rid of a fair bit of stuff through that.
What kind of lightbulbs do you have at home?
Low-energy ones in the rooms where the lights are on for long periods, otherwise there’s no point, as they take so long to brighten up properly.
Do you compost?
Yes.
What was the last green thing you did?
I bought a wormery and a barrel to catch rainwater from the roof to water the garden. I've also ordered more insulating material for the roof.
Do you think we can all make a difference?
Yes – no doubts whatsoever.
If the big floods came, what would you save – apart from your family?
A bucket – one thing's for sure; if there's a big flood, there's drought to follow!
