Iolo Williams is one of S4C's best-known presenters. After graduating in Ecology, he started working with the RSPB in 1985. Radio and television work started coming in during this time, and he left to pursue a media career. He has presented many series for S4C and the BBC since then, and is a top expert in his field.
Iolo and his family recycle and reuse everything they can. Even though Iolo worries about his carbon footprint because of his work travel miles, his campaigning for wildlife and its habitat is an offset for that.
In his limited spare time, Iolo's favourite hobby is physical activity – playing football or rugby, walking in the Berwyn mountains, and paragliding with his eldest son.
Iolo's not a great fan of fancy restaurants and fine wines – a curry and a pint with the lads is his idea of a good night.
Iolo is married with 2 children and 2 dogs. The family lives in the Llanwddyn area, where Iolo was born and raised, although he lived in Pembrokeshire as well while growing up.
