Maceo Parker

Maceo Parker

Festival favourite and legendary saxophone player Maceo Parker returns to Brecon for the 25th anniversary.

He will be closing the festivities in spectacular party mode at the Market Hall on Sunday night.

He is one of the great funk artists. He came to prominence as a soloist in the famous James Brown band of the 60s, an experience he described as a period in a musical university.

Since then he's led a distinguished career as a succesful soloist and band leader, performing around 250 concerts each year. He's also collaborated with a wide range of the leading names of the pop/rock scene including Ray Charles, James Taylor, De La Soul and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
