This will be Rhodri's first visit to HSBC Brecon Jazz.
The presenter from the Gower is looking forward immensely to experiencing the special atmosphere first hand.
"I'm familiar with virtually all the other festivals in Wales, but I'm sure that Brecon Jazz will be very different and much less traditional maybe than the Eisteddfod or the Royal Welsh. It's remarkable – there is so much interest in this festival, it appeals to a very broad cross-section of people."
Rhodri enjoys all types of music, everything from opera to more contemporary music and new bands. He hopes that visiting the festival in Brecon will be a chance to learn more about jazz and also discover some of the less well-known artists performing at the festival.
He recently started playing the piano again and is hoping to pick up a few tips from the masters, like Jools Holland, Julian Joseph and Gwilym Simcock while he's there.
