Roberta Gamberini

Roberta Gamberini

"Gamberini is a true successor to Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, and Carmen McRae." Boston Globe

The Italian singer is often described as one of the most exiting talents on the world jazz scene.

By the age of eighteen, Roberta Gamberini was performing in jazz clubs through the north of Italy. Unsurprisingly she soon moved to America to follow a career as a professional singer. Since then she has sung all over the world with some of the great names, including Michael Brecker, Herbie Hancock, Slide Hampton, Jimmy Heath and Toots Thielemans.

Her latest album You are there, featured a collection of her favourite standards recorded in New York with one of her idols, the pianist Hank Jones.
