Programme 6

The National Library of Wales holds many of our national treasures on its shelves and in its vaults, on its walls and in its halls. From one of the few surviving copies of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales to contemporary digital archives, here beats the heart of Welsh culture. In its centenary year, make sure you visit the celebratory exhibition if nothing else, and if you are familiar with its wonders, take this chance to renew a beautiful friendship. It looks after our history – it needs to be appreciated for that alone.
