Sam Jarrett was brought up in a non-Welsh speaking family. The family moved to Wales when Sam was 2 years old, and in Secondary School she learnt Welsh. Today she is a Welsh teacher herself.

Sam has always suspected that there’s Welsh blood in her family, and she’s keen to prove the story. Perthyn traces Sam’s family roots back to North Wales and to a long line of Jarretts. There she’ll meet new members of her family for the fist time.

But why did Sam’s branch of the Jarrett family move from Wales to Birmingham? Perthyn uncovers a family tragedy that split the Jarrett family.
