Ifor works as a television presenter and producer.
In 2005, Ifor presented a series for S4C called Popeth yn Gymraeg (Everything in Welsh), when he travelled around Wales trying to speak only Welsh – it was quite a challenge!

Ifor lives in Caernarfon with his family – he has 4 children, and seeing the world through their eyes has inspired a number of his poems.
Ifor won the Bardic Crown at the National Eisteddfod in 1999.

Gwyrdd questionnaire
On a scale of 1-10, how green do you think you are?
5
What's your greenest habit?
Sharing the bath water!
Do you know what your carbon footprint is and does it worry you?
With all the travelling I do with work, I'm afraid it's quite deep. I try and take the train as often as I can – much more entertaining than watching the car in front of you. I've resisted the temptation to take the plane between north and south Wales so far.
How much do you recycle?
Quite a bit. About a year ago, the council in Caernarfon introduced plastic and cardboard recycling, in addition to glass and cans, and we noticed a reduction in what went in the bin straight away. Even with a family of 6, the bin is never full on collection days any more.
How much do you re-use?
Some! I'm a bit of a hoarder for bits of string and "things that could be useful" We're going back to doorstep milk delivery as well instead of plastic bottles.
What kind of lightbulbs do you have at home?
Mostly low energy ones.
Do you compost?
Yes, but I have trouble keeping the mixture dry and it gets a bit sludgy. It dries out in the end, though.
What was the last green thing you did?
I cycled to work.
Do you think we can all make a difference?
Yes, definitely.
If the big floods came, what would you save – apart from your family?
Pero the goldfish.
