Responsible for organising S4C’s sub-titling service in English and Welsh, with additional services such as signing for the Deaf and audio-description for the Blind provided on S4C Digital. The unit is also responsible for the Analogue Teletext Service - Sbectel.
Most of this work is carried out by specialist outside suppliers who deal directly with the Production Company or with S4C. The subtitling files are reviewed by S4C, ensuring that the material is suitable for transmission.
