AVANTI WINS DECHRAU CANU DECHRAU CANMOL TENDER

S4C has awarded a £2m contract to Rhondda-based TV company Avanti to produce the popular hymn singing series Dechrau Canu Dechrau Canmol, one of the UK’s longest-running TV shows.
Avanti, which was awarded the contract following an open tender process, will be responsible for around forty programmes each year over the two-year period of the deal.
Production will begin in July on a new Dechrau Canu Dechrau Canmol series, which will be broadcast on S4C in the autumn. The series will also be made available to viewers on broadband for the first time ever.
