S4C's Financial Situation

Dear Partners
This morning the Westminster Government announced cuts of £6.2bn in public spending.
I am sending you a note to let you know how the cuts affect S4C.
There will be a reduction of £2m in S4C's grant in aid within the current financial year. We will endeavour to ensure that the services for audiences are not directly affected. However, any further possible reductions will require us to consider the implications for services and the effect on S4C's economic impact.
It is imperative that we work together more closely than ever in order to deal with the financial situation.
Our focus must remain on delivering excellent services and I am delighted that your talents have been recognised through your success at last night's BAFTA awards. Congratulations.
