Invitation to submit ideas for O’r Galon through the production website

O’r Galon (2011)
We aim to transmit a further series of O’r Galon documentary programmes early in 2011. We are looking for documentary programme ideas on emotional and personal themes, each having a strong narrative element. The programmes should be produced to the highest standards, showing originality and produced in a style appropriate to the subject chosen.
We invite producers to submit their individual ideas through our website under the Factual genre. Please note that this is not a tender process and that the ideas will be considered as part of the usual commissioning process. The series will follow the pattern set by the Y Daith series in 2009 and the 2010 O’r Galon series. We foresee a composite series of up to six half-hour programmes.
If you have recently submitted an idea for the Byd Pawb series, and have been advised that that idea is more appropriate for O’r Galon, please re-submit your idea through the website: please note that we shall not be transferring ideas from one process to the other.
The offers will be discussed in the days following 23 June 2010. Every offer should reach the S4C website by 12:00 midday on Wednesday 23 June 2010.
The programme budgets will reflect our tariffs and will depend on the editorial content, and you are asked to include an estimated cost with your offer on the website.
We shall be informing companies whose ideas we are interested in discussing further by Thursday 1 July 2010.
We reserve the right not to commission any of the ideas submitted.
