GLOBAL: International Markets for Welsh Media Content programme is a trailblazing 12 month business development opportunity aimed at companies that are looking to 'go global'. The scheme will help companies increase their international trade activity, by providing opportunities to explore international co-productions and explore new markets for the media content they already, or intend to create. Participants will develop their knowledge, understanding, and critically their international contacts - making them far better able to compete in the increasingly global media marketplace.
Ian Jones, S4C Chief Executive said: "I am very pleased to confirm S4C's support for this new initiative. Working in the international television market for the last twenty five years makes me acutely aware of the need to keep finding new production partners and to keep developing in new markets. This programme will arm producers and rights holders with knowledge to take Welsh creative products out into the wider world, to international audiences, to put Wales firmly on the global media map."
