End of Season Report 2013

2013 saw Rasus return for a 21st series and it was another memorable season, with several firsts.....

ThumThe TV season started with the 2 day July festival at Tan y Castell - Saturday’s Goleudy Classic Final won by Blue Incredible (Jason Podmore). →

Next up was S4C’s Welsh Cup Final presented by local legend Gareth Edwards.

ThumFor the first time ever the race was tied between Hill Top West Art (Gareth Price) and Luck Matters (Rhys Evans), both crossing the line in a winning time of 1’59’40. →

Tir Prince
ThumS4Cs 10th Crock of Gold was the season’s highlight - for the first ever we had a Welsh winner. Fool Around (Rhys Evans) striking for Evans’ Porth y Ffynon, Tregaron. →

Fine weather meant that Tregaron’s 3 day festival thankfully went ahead as planned.

ThumStyx Thunder a Jonathan Dunne claimed Friday’s Strata Florida Handicap. →

ThumSaturday was an emotional day as Sennybridge’s Marc Jones got his hands on the Welsh Classic thanks to Infinately, and a little help from the evergreen Mick Lord - claiming his record 5th title! →

11 players shared the £2500 prize fund with the money going all over Wales. →

On the Other Side
ThumWales next generation enjoyed masterclasses with the National Hunt big guns. →
