Rasus Tregaron 2007
24 - 25 August
What can you say about Tregaron - a truly fantastic three days.
Thursday provided the right start with a long awaited victory for Galliano in the Free for All, pipping local favourite Scoot Around, and the Irish remained in the picture throughout the weekend.
Kikikolt took the Little Welsh Dragon, but Mick Lord's experience had their measure in the Strata Florida Handicap bringing NF Noitall through at the wire to defeat local horse Lakeside Dai
Saturday was even better with the sun putting an extra gloss on proceedings. Lucky Touch set a new track record in the Crock of Gold, Rhys Evans, the chairman's son won the Young Drivers Race and the old stalwart Stevie Lees won the Junior Welsh Dragon with Matador Hall.
The Welsh Classic Final was a very open race, however no-one would have predicted that Conner's Dragon, fresh from his victory in Thursday's Stayers' race would emulate the great Shady Romance and win both Musselburgh and Tregaron in the same year. Congratulations to Craig Nuttall and his stable and there could be more to come...
Boughrood next and last chance saloon - the last qualifier for the Crock of Gold and the last heat in the Young Drivers Championship
