Monday 7 May 3.30
On Rygbi: Cwpan Swalec: Cross Keys v Pontypridd, two of the Principality Premiership’s leading sides will battle for the Swalec Cup at the home of Welsh rugby, the Millennium Stadium.
Live coverage begins at 3.30pm and viewers will see extended highlights of the Bowl (Glyncoch vs New Tredegar) and Plate (Penallta v Nant Conwy) finals before Cross Keys and Pontypridd battle for the Swalec Cup – kick off at 5.00pm.
The game sees two giants of Welsh rugby go head to head against each other. Mark Ring is now in charge at Cross Keys and Dale McIntosh is the Pontypridd coach.
Cross Keys won a place in their first ever Swalec Cup final after a hard-fought semi-final against Ebbw Vale. Both teams were tied at the final whistle but Cross Keys came away victorious having scored more tries. The team from Gwent have already experienced the atmosphere of a final this season having recently played against Munster ‘A’ in the British and Irish Cup final.
Pontypridd are also hoping to end their season on a high – in both the league and cup competitions. Coach Dale McIntosh has led his team to the heights of the Principality Premiership with only a few points separating the top six. The final games will be crucial for the teams in the mix.
Gareth Roberts and Wyn Gruffydd will be at the Millennium Stadium for the final between Cross Keys and Pontypridd.
