S4C offers scholarships through different colleges and organisations.
The athletics scholarships are offered in partnership with Welsh Athletics Ltd. The scholarships contribute towards coaching costs for developing track and field skills.
In 2008, golf scholarships were awarded in partnership with Golf Development Wales. The financial awards helped Ross Mclister and Amy Boulden with coaching, equipment and competition costs. The pair have also attended special master classes with leading golf professionals in Wales.
The T Glynne Davies journalism scholarship is awarded to enable the recipients to pursue a post graduate course at the Centre for Journalism Studies in Cardiff.
S4C works with the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama to offer the Sir Geraint Evans scholarships to performers through auditions. The scholarships help the recipients pay for their fees.
S4C also offers one-off scholarships from time-to-time to help promising young people. In 2008, S4C awarded a post-production audio scholarship to Owen Peters, who's studying at the National Film and Television School.
