Welsh football legend, Ian Rush, believes Wales should follow Italy's example and develop a national football training centre.
Rush, the elite performance director for the Welsh Football Trust, made his comments whilst on a fact finding mission at the Italian Football Federation's technical centre in Coverciano, Florence.
“I think it’s important that we look for a training centre like the one in Coverciano. Financially it’s going to be difficult, but we’ve got to look to the future,” he told Sgorio,
“We’ve taken big strides over the last three or four years, but there’s still a lot more to go, and I think it would go a long way to helping us achieve that.”
The Welsh delegation also included FAW President, Phil Pritchard, and Welsh Football Trust Technical director, Osian Roberts, as well as several of the Trust's coaches.
