Which team do you support
Manchester United - and no, I don't have to justify myself!
Who was/is your footballing hero?
Mark Hughes. As a Welshman and a Manchester United fan it's fairly obvious that I was going to choose Sparky, but it has to be said he was an incredible player.
He didn't take any nonsense but at the same time, he wasn't a dirty player. Another reason to worship him was his ability to score amazing goals - he never scored simple goals and his goal for Wales against Spain at The Racecourse is a perfect example of scoring abilities.
Who did you want to be when playing football on the schoolyard?
Obviously, I wanted to be Mark Hughes, but when we used to get a bit cosmopolitan I used to pretend to be Zico as the Brazilian was about the only foreign player we knew about back then!
What is your favourite footballing memory?
I don't want to be boring, but as a Manchester United fan it has to be the night United won the Champions League in 1999 and completed the treble.
I was working as a holiday rep in Ibiza at the time and as I was so close I had tried to get a ferry from the island to Barcelona for the final, but because of my work I couldn't get enough time off so ended up watching the game in a bar ... with a load of Germans ... who were almost all Bayern Munich fans!
Who is the best player you have seen?
Once again, I'm afraid I'm going to have to go for a Manchester United player. I remember going to Old Trafford to watch one of Cristiano Ronaldo's first games for United and he was incredible.
Every time he touched the ball it was as if the whole crowd was willing him to do something special.
On a more personal note, I remember being made to look a fool by a certain Lee Trundle. I used to play for Rhyl's second team but we used to train with the first team and old Magic Daps could do some incredible things with a football - running at defenders whilst balancing the ball on his head or flicking the ball over his head as he ran past you!
Sgorio has been broadcasting Spanish football for 20 years, but who is the star player from that period?
I think the one name that comes to mind is Romario. He was key to Barcelona's success in 1994 scoring 30 goals and collecting the Pichichi Trophy.
I can hear Emyr Davies' commentary now ... "Romariooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!"
