Who was/is your footballing hero?
I don't have to think too hard about that one - it has to be Paolo Maldini. Without a doubt he is one of the best defenders the world has ever seen.
His mantelpiece must be under considerable strain with all the awards he has won over the years, and more than anything else his loyalty to his club has to be applauded in an age where players are more interested in following the money
Who did you want to be when playing football on the schoolyard?
For some reason the boys at Ysgol Trefor always pretended to be Brazil. Sion Amlyn, my best friend, was always Socrates and I was always Zico.
What is your favourite footballing memory?
Despite all the memories I have of travelling to Spain, Germany and Italy for Sgorio I'd have to say that seeing Trefor's under7s completing the double last season was pretty special! Rona Williams and myself were the coaches - a kind of Welsh Alex Ferguson and Carlos Queiroz.
Who is the best player you have seen?
I'd have to say Zinedine Zidane is the one player who has made an impression on me especially whilst watching him at close proximity on the touchline at the Bernebau. Pure genius.
Sgorio has been broadcasting Spanish football for 20 years, but who is the star player from that period?
As a viewer of Sgorio I would choose Ronaldo - not when he was at Real Madrid, because I think he was at his very best when he was playing for Barcelona.
He scored 34 goals in the Primera - no other player has scored more than 30 goals since then - and he scored the only goal of the game as Barcelona defeated Paris St Germain to win the European Cup Winners' Cup.
