Soap stars join celebrations at Bro Ffestiniog Rugby Club

Pobol y Cwm stars Gillian Elisa and Rhys ap William were the guests of honour at Bro Ffestiniog Rugby Club recently as part of S4C’s Hybu Rygbi Appeal.

The actors were invited to the Club to help celebrate the arrival of new perimeter boards. They were also on hand to watch the crucial crunch match between Bro Ffestiniog rugby team and their rivals Bethesda in League Division 5 North Wales, with the home side sailing to victory in a 20–11 win.

Gillian and Rhys, who play Sabrina and Cai in the BBC-produced soap on S4C, took part in the event as part of S4C’s appeal, which aims to raise awareness of rugby-related causes.

Club Chairman Tony Crampton said, "After fundraising efforts and various grants and sponsorships over the past six months or so, it was great to be able to celebrate and thank everyone for all their hard work."
