Additional Information: John has always had a great interest in the arts, especially literature and music.

He is very fond of Simon Hopkinson's books and enjoys playing the piano as a hobby.

He has enjoyed food and eating out for many years bot only recently has his interest in cooking flourished.

Navarin of lamb is his current favourite recipe, but this can vary, depending on his mood and the choice of products available.

He can't specify his favourite restaurant but he mentions Tyddyn Llan, near Llandrillo and Corrigan's in Mayfair as two of them

After some masterclasses the twelve had a bit of a shock - a challenge to create Sea bass with a salsa.

John was successful and a step closer to Tigh Dudley!

After some wine tasting with Arwel Owen from Gwinology it was time for the big challenge - cook their signiature dish.

John prepared Loin of pork stuffed with dried apricot and plums, wrapped in Parma ham and served with savoury couscous and a Marsala sauce.

A perfect wine to accompany this dish would be a Pinot Noir from New Zeland
