Chris Jones

Originally from Aberaeron, Ceredigion. After graduating in Communications and Broadcasting from the Normal College, Bangor, Chris started his career as a cameraman, working all over Wales, Europe and the world.

Chris joined the weather presentation team at S4C in the Summer of ’91, and nineteen years later Chris continues to enjoy the daily challenge.

Chris has also been responsible for filming and directing a number of different programmes and promotions for S4C and a number of corporate clients.

Chris lives by the coast in the Vale of Glamorgan. His interests include trekking, volunteer work, visiting the cinema, gardening, learning to play the drums, and spending as much time as possible with his 4 children and the latest addition to the Jones family, Jac the dog. . . And of course, the weather, especially extreme weather, his dream is to travel to America to follow tornadoes!

Mari Grug

Mari Grug

Mari Grug was raised on a farm in Mynachlog-Ddu, Pembrokeshire. A pupil at Ysgol y Preseli, she then studied Welsh at the University College of Wales, Cardiff.

An acting role as Catrin in the S4C drama 'Darn o Dir' gave Mari her first television break. After graduating, she began her television career presenting 'Planed Plant'.

On 1 November 2007, Mari embarked upon a new challenge, joining the team of S4C weather presenters. As well as presenting the weather, Mari has also been a part of the presenting teams at the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show, The National Urdd Eisteddfod, The National Eisteddfod, the Cerdd Dant Festival and Digwyddiadau 10 S4C.

When she’s not working, Mari enjoys dining out, visiting her family in Pembrokeshire, anything to do with music and, if time allows, cleaning the house!

Erin Roberts

Erin Roberts

Erin Roberts was born and raised in Pontllyfni, near Caernarfon. After attending Ysgol Syr Hugh Owen Caernarfon Erin spent three years studying Geography at Liverpool University. After completing her teachers training course Erin spent ten years teaching Geography at Ysgol Gyfun Cwm Rhymni and Ysgol Gyfun Rhydfelen.

After several years of teaching Erin started presenting occasional weather bulletins for S4C and three years later decided to pursue her interest in presenting the weather forecast on a full-time basis.

Erin enjoys all aspects of Geography and has recently appeared on S4C’s daily magazine programme Wedi 3 discussing geology and Wales’ natural enviroment. An avid fan of Everton Football Club Erin also enjoys running, visiting the cinema and travelling – especially to Italy, when time allows!
