WAWFFACTOR 2006

The desire to become a singing sensation is rapidly becoming a national obsession and the recent Shayne Ward hysteria is such a case in point. We are no different in Wales as we love our performers. The return of WawFfactor is simply another great excuse to celebrate performing and sing along at home into the hairbrush as you dream of wowing the crowds at the Millennium Stadium.

Eager hopefuls from all over the nation have been signing their little lungs out over the past few weeks fighting for a chance to become one of the lucky initial WawFfactor contestants. Those through to the last ten this year should however be ready for a few added surprises and new experiences.

Belting out a favourite song in front of the judges is only one part of the challenge as a greater emphasis will be placed on the physical and emotional elements need to become a successful performer.

The task may not be an easy one but the end results will surely be worth it. Since winning last year's WawFfactor, Rebecca Trehearn, has gone on to great things in the world of musicals and is set on a promising singing career.

Legendary singer Huw Chiswell joins the judges' bench for the first time alongside Radio 1's Aled Haydn Jones and Bethan Elfyn with former Catatonia band member, Owen Powell, completing the critics' line up. It's going to be fun and a little bit emotional so keep tuned!
