The Happy Couple

Anna Roberts, 29, and Lee Openshaw, 28, from Old Colwyn, near Colwyn Bay, are the lucky couple to have their wedding in August arranged by a host of top TV names.

The couple met at the Ship Hotel in Bangor where Lee, who is now a policeman in Bangor, worked as a DJ at the time. The two are delighted at the prospect of having celebrities take on the role of wedding planners.

“We’re absolutely thrilled and we just can’t wait. I never expect to win anything. It’ll make our wedding day extra special. The two of us are still in shock,” said Anna who works as a receptionist for Conwy Council and also works part-time as a beauty consultant.

“We can’t wait to find out who’s going to be organising things and we’re looking forward to seeing the stars get stuck in to their jobs,” Anna added.

It’s been a difficult time for Anna and her family since losing her brother Rhodri in a car crash last year. “As a family we’ve had a rough time. It’s good to have something positive to look forward to,” said Anna.

Anna and Lee’s son was named after her brother and Luke Rhodri is now seven months old. His big brother, Richard is five years old.
