Clawdd y Dref

This house, as its name suggests, sits on the ancient town wall.

Henry Whittingham was the bailiff of Trefaldwyn in George I reign, and he enlarged the house in 1726.

Part of the early oak framed construction can be seen, but the Flemish gable is striking. It is one of several examples in the neighbourhood.
