Tan y Castell

Tan y Castell is one of the most pleasing buildings, where the family carry on the old tradition of living above the shop - their architects practice.

This is not a Georgian house – it is one of the many properties in Montgomery that has been re-fronted in the Georgian style.

It’s a three storey building and each floor shows a different period of design. The ground floor has a remarkable late Georgian shop front, the first floor has late Victorian windows and the top floor was added around 1920.
