Ifan, his dogs and his herd today face a double challenge: not only their fourth
day of travel but those miles must be travelled over the Cambrian Mountains all
the way to Abergwesyn.

With a population of some 600 people, Llanwrtyd Wells is one of the smallest towns
in Britain. The picturesque spa town is based around the Ffynon Droellwyd spring
and is famous both for its World Bog Snorkelling Championships and the annual Man
versus Horse Marathon.
