Winner of the Individual Folk Dance 19 – 25
Twenty one year old Cerian from Bryn Iwan near Cynwyl Elfed in Carmarthenshire was educated at Ysgol Gynradd Hafowednog primary school in Trelech and Ysgol Bro Myrddin secondary school in Carmarthen before going on to follow a physical education degree course at UWIC in Cardiff. She graduated at the beginning of the summer and is now following a teacher's training course, again in Cardiff.
At the Bryn Terfel Scholarship Concert at Cardiff's Millennium Centre, she will perform three dances. The first is a traditional folk dance, the second is a clog dance portraying the life of Princess Gwenllian, and the third is a modern dance incorporating elemnents of hip hop, Latin and clog dancing.
In her spare time, Cerian enjoys playing netball, dancing and socialising with her friends.
