Winner of the solo recitation 19 – 25 at the Urdd National Eisteddfod
Twenty year old Hanna from Llangynnwr near Carmarthen is on the final year of her degree course in Welsh at Cardiff University. This is the first time that she has competed for the Bryn Terfel Scholarship.
At the concert, she will present the poems Pwllderi by Dewi Emrys, and Preseli by Waldo Williams; an excerpt from the novel O! Tyn y Gorchudd by Angharad Price, and will play a piece for the cello, Song Without Words by Mendelhsson. Her tutors in the Master Classes were Rhian Porter and Beth Robert.
In her spare time, Hanna enjoys playing the piano and the cello, reading and writing. She also sings with three choirs in Cardiff, Côr Waun Dyfal, Côrdydd and Côr Merched Cantata.
